Dove and Teal seasons are in the bag. The end of August and first part of September was warm and dry and as a result the doves hung around and provided some excellent shooting well into the second week of September. The teal numbers where very good also and those of you that needed an early duck fix had excellent success hunting one of our new duck leases.
Weve added seven blue chip properties to our arsenal of options for the 2005/06 season, many are in new areas to Stillwater and hold thousands of birds. We have 28 farms to work from this season, and seven different farms to choose from for the Early Northern Front Range Goose Season (October 1 thru 9). If you want the chance to collect some legs bands this will be your opportunity. The DOW has banded several thousand honkers on the Front Range the Past three years and were right in the middle of the banding zones. One of the new properties that were extremely excited about is in the Sterling/Julesburg area. It includes two miles of river, one and a half miles of slough, and over a dozen corn and wheat fields. Well be offering two and three day packages for ducks and geese, as well as varmint and prairie dog hunting. Call for details and watch the web site for additional package information.
