The 2006 hunting season is on the horizon and Stillwater Outfitters has it covered. We start with Doves, Teal, and pigeons, then we move into ducks & geese, and for the first time we’re offering deer hunts in Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska. We’re looking forward to another great season!

We have plenty of space available the first week of September for dove hunting in Colorado. We’ll scout and head to the biggest concentration of birds for some hot barrel action. The hot, dry summer has been perfect for dove production and it looks to be a banner season!

There’s nothing like Teal buzzing over the decoys to test your early season shooting skills. We have added numerous ponds to our inventory that look great and will provide excellent opportunities throughout the Early Teal season. There’s limited space available for our Teal hunts so call ASAP. (Season dates Sept. 9 thru17 2006)

Early Duck & Goose
The dates have been set for the early duck and goose seasons. September 30 through October 8 2006. The same ponds that provide us with great early season Teal action will be the backdrop for our early season duck hunting. Mallards, Teal, & Gadwall, to name a few will be the targets for this early duck hunting. I couple of our ponds have just recently filled and the ducks are already swarming.
Band Central, that’s the theme for the Northern Front Range Early Goose Season. With the banding program coming to a close along Colorado’s Front Range the time is now to add some hardware to your collection and the best time to do it is in the first week of October. We have the farms and the track record to give you your best opportunity to add a little jewelry to the lanyard. A complete list of Central Flyway Colorado Waterfowl season dates can be found on our web site on the Rates, Dates & Limits page.

Deer Colorado, Kansas & Nebraska
We thought it would be next season before we could get our newest venture off the ground. But low and behold three months into it and we’re off and running. We had an unbelievable string of fortune acquiring Colorado Plains, Kansas & Nebraska Rifle Deer Tags. These are some of the hardest tags in the country to come by and we got a bunch of em. As a result we can pass this fortune on to you. Prior to this newsletter going to print we had pre-sold several of the hunts based on tag acquisitions. The remainder are available now. The hunts will be guided or semi-guided, five days, two hunters, meals, lodging, trophy & game prep for processing, ($3500 per hunter), plus cost of tag and guide tips.
The areas we’re hunting have had little or no hunting pressure for years and should provide an opportunity for some high quality animals.

The remaining dates are as follows:

Colorado: Two Hunters Oct. 28 thru Nov. 1 (mule deer or whitetail).

Nebraska: Two Hunters Nov. 11 thru 15 & Two Hunters Nov. 15 thru 19 (mule deer or whitetail).

Colorado: Two Hunters Dec. 1 thru 5 (mule deer or whitetail).
Colorado: Two Hunters Dec. 10 thru 14 (mule deer or whitetail)
