I was born and raised on the Front Range of Colorado in the small farming town of Brighton. I grew up in a hunting family. My father hunted every chance he got and involved my brother and I involved, starting at a young age. I still reside here with my beautiful wife Amy, and our two children.

I grew up in Lakewood, Colorado but now live up north in Thornton. I was raised in a hunting and fishing family and have loved every aspect of both for as long as I can remember. Whether it was deer and elk hunting in the mountains or waterfowl hunting across the front range. For me, there isn’t anything better than hunting geese.

I grew up in Brighton, Colorado, and waterfowl hunting is what I love to do. I think the only thing better is spending time with my family. I married my high school sweetheart, Krista, and we have two wonderful children — Owen and baby Samantha. My chocolate lab, Trip, enjoys hunting almost as much as I do.
I have a lifetime of experience as a caller and hunter. I compete in many calling competitions across the US — placing in the top 3 in numerous contests and still improving every day. I’m known as a dependable guide that has many repeat groups that ask specifically for me, and I love hunting with them time and time again. Not only do I get out of work, but I also get the chance to be out in the field and do what I love.

I am an avid Hunter with a huge passion for waterfowl hunting. I have been hunting waterfowl for the last 30 years and wait in anticipation every year for the upcoming season. I also enjoy archery hunting big bull elk and mule deer with my friends and family but none of them compare to big flocks of geese cupped up and landing in my spread of decoys.

My love for the outdoors started at an early age while fishing with my dad. I grew up in a military family, and we moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1989. My best friend’s dad had a waterfowl lease on a large lake along the Front Range. It was there that my love for waterfowl hunting began. I went to college in Trinidad and Gunnison. During this time, I chased big game and upland birds with friends. In 2000, I bought a home northeast of Denver and gained access to some private land on the South Platte River near Greeley. I killed a pair of wood ducks my first time out, and haven’t been interested in hunting anything but waterfowl since.
My whole life revolves around my wife and daughter, but any spare time I have from October to mid-February, you can probably find me in a duck blind along the Platte or in a goose pit in the middle of a cornfield. The ideal hunting scenario for me would be a December or January duck hunt along the South Platte River with my black lab, Teal by my side. I jump at the chance to take a group out hunting, whether it’s first-timers or some seasoned waterfowlers looking for another experience such as hunting with a world-class outfitter like Stillwater.
